Reach Cambridge (est. 2004) specialises in offering a range of short residential academic programmes for14-18 year olds from all over the world in the heart of Cambridge. During our summer programmes, students choose one subject course to study throughout the duration of their time with us.
Our courses are designed to challenge and engage our students, to widen their knowledge and prepare them for the future. The subject classes are the cornerstone of our summer programmes and always a highlight for both the teachers and students!

Main purpose and scope of the service

The subject coordinator designs, prepares and manages a subject course. The service also involves teaching students on the course, with a particular focus on the coordinator’s relevant field of expertise. The subject teachers work with the coordinator to teach particular topics of their chosen subject.

There is a good level of autonomy and creativity encouraged for lesson plans, but support will be given by the Director of Curriculum throughout the term of your agreement.

Class sizes are small and are taught in the heart of Cambridge. Our students are aged between 14-18 years old and are joining us from all over the world.

Remuneration

Teachers receive £30 per hour
Coordinators receive £1100 fee for a 2-week programme which includes 20 hours teaching. Additional teaching is invoiced at £30 per hour
