About Will
I am a graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford, and a highly experienced tutor of French, English and Music. This year I was employed as a teacher at a secondary school in Oxford, where I taught GCSE Music to 30 pupils. Further to this I have given hundreds of hours of private tuition to children aged between six and 18.
I'm a keen musician, I sing Baritone, and play the 'cello and piano. I have been fortunate to travel widely across Europe and North America, and have visited New Zealand and the Middle East with work engagements.
I have two cats, called Figaro and Octave.
My personal, positive experiences of one-to-one tuition whilst studying for A-Levels and at Oxford have greatly influenced my approach as a tutor. I am strongly motivated by drawing out the knowledge within each student in order to help them reach their true potential. Individual tuition is the best environment to achieve this, allowing sessions to be catered to the unique needs of the student. Through my individualised teaching plans I aim to develop my students’ enthusiasm for the subject, topic or paper, in order that they might be challenged in a fruitful and engaging way.
I'm always delighted to offer guidance on University applications, and can provide interview prep for University Admissions.
