Hi! I am a PhD student in Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering at Imperial College in Professor Molly Stevens group. I got both my BSc and my MSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Naples (IT), scoring 110/110 cum laude in both! I also won the 1st prize for Oustanding Performance in the MSc Chemical Engineering at my university. I have an extremely diverse background, centered on Science topics but with a Humanities touch as I got a Grammar School diploma (so Latin, Ancient Greek, History, Philosophy, Italian Literature and so on), with a score of 100/100. As I am Italian native speaker I am able to teach Italian at all levels. I have 2+ years one-to-one tutoring experience. During my undergrad I tutored high school students in Maths and Chemistry and I am currently tutoring a student in Maths for her GCSE exam. I've also started to work as GTA (Graduate Teaching Assistant) at Imperial College, helping lecturers with study groups of 30 students. As a tutor, I firmly believe that each student has an inner potential ready to explode, if triggered in the right way. I really enjoy tutoring and helping students to get a deeper understanding of the subjects they have to deal with. Since each student is different I always try to adapt my teaching method and approach to my student’s needs. Furthermore, when possible, I always try to put things in the context of real life, so to facilitate their understanding and learning. Seeing the progress of my students is highly rewarding and motivating for me.
