Essentially, I am a law graduate, having studied law from the prestigious University of Plymouth. Formerly, I have worked as an assistant paralegal for a law firm, performing, filing, drafting and stapling. Admittedly, I have remained a faithful student of law in my previous life, but I strictly believe the legal ship has left the harbour. But more importantly, I have an unparalleled and newfound passion for mathematics which has even evidenced in my academia performance thereof. Without a shadow of doubt, mathematics has piqued my curiosity and I intend to further pursue it with due diligence. I have thoroughly enjoyed my previous modules involving mathematics and exceeded expectations of my contemporaries and teachers alike. Hence, I have resorted to choosing mathematics as a potential career option, given that each individual thrives in an area of profession where his passion lies and my passion is concentrated in mathematics. Thus, began my fascination with mathematics and ever since, I have remained relentless in its pursuance. Given that even college professors are heavily invested in my interest in mathematics, I am psyched to select mathematics and explore it to the best of my abilities. Due to this reason, I have invested myself heavily in mathematics during my academic tenure. During my years at the academic institution I even scored a heavily competed position of TA/ LSA. I noticed that my passion of teaching mathematics fuelled the students to take an additional interest in the subject. In addition to that, I have remained thoroughly invested with students of all year group (year 8 to year 11) in teaching them mathematics. I have considerable reason to believe that teaching mathematics is my ultimate professional call. Given that I took two exams of mathematics back to back, I managed to top the class as the highest scorer in the subjects, scoring 100 and 94 marks in both exams respectively. Thus, my passion in mathematics is reflected in my extra-curricular activities and academic pursuits. Given that I am a thoroughbred trained in public dealings, I am a communication savant. Due to my former experience in customer services and paralegal duties,I was able to acquire mastery over essential tricks of the trade in assisting better understanding and reaching to people in a manner suitable for them. As a result, it has assisted me immensely in my due role as mathematics TA in academia just as it assisted me instrumentally in teaching all year group. Henceforth, I am essentially the best of both worlds, bridging the gap experienced by students in education with my robust communication skill-set coupled with my passion for mathematics makes me an ideal choice for a mathematics lecturer.
A very outstanding tutor with complete knowledge of subject. Umaira knows what she is teaching and how to teach, how to make things clear. I was not good in maths but with the help of my tutor I managed to achieve B Grade.
Umaira helped my son with the topics that he was not confident with, she was punctual the lessons were planned and she helped with my sons queries, the homework was appropriate in level and quantity he enjoyed Umaira,s tuition.
Maths has always been my weakest subject but with Umaira’s help i have become better at the subject. She explains everything in great detail and makes it alot more understandable. Before atempting to do questions she goes through many examples which give me confidence in anwering the questions. I highly recommend Umairas maths teaching!
