I am a PhD Chemistry graduate from the University of Manchester and also a qualified and practicing teacher.
My approach to tutoring is simple and effective: engage, explain, evaluate
My initial task is to break down the barriers that most pupils encounter with learning science, then build their confidence so that they can take ownership of their learning and then of course to measure success often by checking where the pupil is (via questioning, past paper practice etc.) and making improvements.
