About Tom

I don't just want to teach you something, I want to help you understand something from the very fundamentals so you can handle whatever the exam throws at you!

I am a recent University of York graduate who completed my studies in 2018 with a 1st class Masters degree in Chemistry and have since gone on to work in pharmaceuticals as well as currently working in defense.

I often find in order for me to understand something I need to understand it from the most fundamental principles and build-up. I find this style works great with students struggling to grasp certain concepts by allowing them develop a thought-process from what they already know and won't forget under exam pressure.

With 2 years of mentoring experience, I have enjoyed helping students at GCSE, A-level and degree level and have always had a great time doing so. I like to think my relaxed style helps student feel at ease making learning easier and more enjoyable.

I hope I can not only help you achieve your goals in Chemistry, but also learn to love it... trust me, it is possible!

I am currently able to offer group tuition at 50% of my usual hourly rate. If you are interested in joining a group please feel free to contact me.

Perfect! Amazing tutor
Tom is tutoring my daughter for A level chemistry. His thorough explanation of every detail required is of high standard.
