About Taha
Having worked since 2013, I am very familiar with the types of questions that appear repeatedly on exams as well as the common mistakes made by students. Therefore, I address these areas beforehand improving my tutees' understanding of the subject and ultimately, their exam results. My depth of experience interpreting mark schemes also means I can provide thorough guidance on structuring answers to attain maximum marks. This is particularly useful for the long answer questions that many struggle with.
I engaged in the Digital Campaign Network, where I taught elderly people how to use the internet. I was also awarded a certificate for my excellent communication skills and listening ability. Furthermore, I have substantial experience working with children with dyslexia, Down's Syndrome and Autism and am aware of their different educational needs and how to best facilitate their learning. I understand the importance of education and am very dedicated to this field. I am hard working and professional and achieved 9A*s at GCSE, 4A*s at A-level and am a qualified Medical Doctor with MBBS. Therefore, I understand exactly what is required to achieve success and relish the opportunity to share my knowledge with my students.
However, I appreciate that being an excellent tutor requires more than just academic success. I have tutored many students over the years covering many subject areas in depth and excel at teaching difficult topics in a way that is easy to understand. I form an individual plan for each student identifying their strengths and weakness and work at a pace perfect for them helping them realise their maximum potential. I have a lot of experience about the likely problems that students can encounter and have developed many ways of addressing them. Many of my students achieve top grades and so I find teaching to be very rewarding. I am very flexible with my availability so feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to accommodate you.
TEFL is an internationally recognised organisation delivering high quality training to teachers and I have completed a 120 hour platinum TEFL qualification where I demonstrated my specific skills about how to teach in a variety of settings ranging from one-to-one to a class of 50 students. This training, along with my TeachFirst qualification, means that I am adept at teaching as evident from the feedback I receive from my clients; please see my reviews below. I also learned how to deliver the most effective teaching to students of different abilities and different learning styles as well as teaching from a distance for example via a phone call or Skype. Therefore, I am happy to teach in person or via Skype. Please note, I can only provide home tution during the school holidays; during term time, all tution will be online via Skype. This works very well for my students and means the lessons can be very flexible. Please see my reviews below.
At medical school, I actively seek out teaching opportunities and arrange sessions with the students in the years below to revise the clinical examinations and history taking skills they require for their OSCE (Observed Structured Clinical Examination). I also run sessions for the anatomy vivas giving students the opportunity to ask any questions in an open environment and become confident when pointing out structures of the body and describing anatomical tenants.
I have helped many students with their university applications in particular for Medicine and Oxbridge. I make sure they have an outstanding personal statement, help them in preparing for specific entrance exams such as the UKCAT and BMAT and construct mock interviews giving them the opportunity to practice their answers to likel
I am more than happy to help students with homework, assignments, projects or even coursework. I teach each lesson specific to course requirements and ensure students are particularly confident with topics which come up frequently in exams. I give significant focus to skills essential in exams. Either at the end of a lesson, or for homework, I test my students understanding with a combination of handwritten and past-paper questions.
My teaching is focused to inspire the student in the subject and improve their exam performance. Whenever I am tutoring a student, I make sure I am available when needed even if it that means providing them reassurance or answering any last minute questions in the middle of the night before the exam. I always do everything in my power to enable my students to succeed. Finally, I support my students by providing a thorough understanding of the basics securing an important foundation necessary for further learning.

Perfect! Great tutor
My son was really struggling with the organic reactions in Chemistry. His teachers at school had gone through it but he was having difficulty understanding and remembering the processes. After an intensive lesson with Taha, he now has a thorough understanding of exactly what's going on. Taha is very knowledgable and he basically answers all questions while my son is jumping from one topic to anther. It is very different from tutors who deliver lessons according to their fixed schedule. I am really happy with the progress he has been making these last few weeks. I would recommend Taha because he knows the subject inside out, and he has great communication skills.

Outcome : Taha is a very competent tutorPerfect! Fan-taha-stic
I was studying Medicine and struggling with the intensity of the course. The lectures were dry and content heavy and I was unsure what to make of them. Fortunatley, I found Taha who was exceptionally helpful. We went through all the material and I started enjoying Medicine again. I enjoyed our lessons because Taha showed great interest in making sure I fully understood every detail. I would recommend Taha because he is capable of explaining difficult concepts methodically and understandably.

I was doing a Masters in Immunology and I had finished writing my thesis. I showed it to my supervisor at university and he said that there were ambiguities in my work. I was unsure of what to do and I was struggling because English is not my first language. Unfortunately, my supervisor was not able to help me any further.
I had the idea of giving my work to a proofreader. However, this did not work as well as I had hoped because he did not have a science background and was unable to understand my research. I then realised that I needed someone who has a good background in immunology and parasitology as well as English grammar.
Fortunately, I came in contact with Taha. He was very kind and helpful. I found our Skype sessions together very useful because I could explain my ideas in my words and help a lot to write it in clear sentences. I think he is a really good tutor because he is patient, talented.

I was doing an access to Higher Education course and felt it was poorly organised as there were no past papers or one dedicated textbook per subject. I was struggling with some key concepts so contacted Taha to assist with this and preparation for my exams. I have been out of school for a long time so was struggling but Taha explained it so clearly and showed examples so that I could see how it all worked and the reasons why reactions were taking place. Would really recommend him as he is a fantastic teacher!

Outcome : Taha put things in a simple and fun way so that I could easily remember them for my exams.View more reviews

I have known Taha for many years now as he supported me through my studies. Taha is the best teacher I have ever had. He is very good at identifying the actual problem as to why I was not understanding the information. He actually listens when you talk to him and always tries to make himself available whenever needed.
He is incredibly reliable and passionate and is very good at explaining complicated things in an easy way. He came up with different ways of teaching and used the style which worked best with me. Please let me know if there is any other information that you needMy son suffers from severe dyslexia and was really struggling to pass his exams. If he did not pass then he would not have been able to stay at that school for A-levels. We were under a lot of pressure and worried about his future. I got in touch with Taha who tutored him via Skype, I was initially hesitant but it actually worked very well.
I was studying Biomed at Newcastle and I was really struggling with my dissertation. My uni tutors weren't really able to help me because they were either too busy or had restrictions on how much they could help. I decided to get Taha as a private tutor and he was extremely helpful. He assessed multiple drafts of my project and proof read it and gave a great deal of advice for improvement. Without Taha this would have been a very tedious and tiresome process but Taha saved me from a great deal of work and stress and helped me achieve a first!
Taha tutored my son chem GCSE. He is a very good tutor as demonstrated by the fact that my son got an A*. This would have otherwise been inconceivable. I strongly recommend Taha and we are very grateful for his efforts.
My son used to do the very good maths, but now in the A-level he struggle. His teacher he doing fine and getting the A but I want the A* for my son. So I contact Taha for the tuition of the further maths. Taha made my son very good maths, so good that he manage to get the A*. I very proud of my son for getting the 100 marks in FP1 exam. Thank you to Taha for his help, much appreciating!
I wanted to work in a warehouse but I had to pass a literacy and numeracy test first. I'm alright with literacy but I really struggle with maths. Ever since I was at school I hated maths. My teachers discouraged me a lot and they thought I wasn't trying when I was - I just didn't understand what I had to do. I wanted to work in the warehouse but the maths exam was putting me off. Got myself a textbook tried to do some revision but just couldn't do it as it was too difficult. The wife suggested I get a tutor but I was really reluctant because of my bad experiences during school. Had a look around and I found Taha. True to his statement he was actually very polite and friendly. And, most importantly, he wasn't patronising at all even though I was an adult learner struggling with basic GCSE concepts. Honestly, in a couple of hours Tution with Taha, I learnt more than I did in my maths lessons throughout school. I actually started enjoying maths which is really surprising. And to top it all off, I got one of the highest marks in my numeracy test.
Emily has been very passionate about studying medicine for a long time, however she started doubting herself after having to take her 2nd Gap Year. She was considering giving up her dream of becoming a doctor and started pursuing an alternative career path. However I came across Taha through one of my friends. Taha helped my daughter Emily in her preparation of the UKCAT and so she did much better than ever before. Fortunately, this enabled her to get a few interviews this time around. Emily was particularly nervous about these as she felt that this was her last opportunity.
Taha had a great deal of insight on the structure of an interview, the types of interviews and key topics which were likely to come up. He spent a great deal of time with Emily preparing and perfecting her answers and building up her confidence. He also went over the really difficult ethical questions in which Emily would normally panic. So, Taha took a lot of stress out of the interview process.
As a result I am very pleased to say that Emily received an offer to study medicine at Kings College London and is thoroughly enjoying her first year of university! We are very grateful to Taha for all of his effort. He is the best! xxMy 15-year-old son Edgar was really struggling with his Biology GCSE. His teachers and I were worried about his performance in the January mocks. He was finding it difficult to keep up in class and this affected his motivation. Unsure of what to do I tried contacting some tutors hoping to improve his grade. Taha replied promptly to my message and Edgar has his first lesson the very next day. I think Taha is a natural teacher and his style is professional yet relaxed. He created an open environment allowing my son not to be discouraged by his mistakes and pushing him for success at the same time. Taha had excellent knowledge of the subject matter but what I think was particularly useful was the exam technique and structuring the longer answer questions to ensure the examiners allocate the marks. It was clear that Taha was spending a lot of time preparing each lesson and at the end of each lesson he would give a clear feedback of Edgar's performance and grasp of the subject matter. Although I only paid for an hours tuition I've often found him staying for well over an hour. This young man is very bright but he is clearly also very dedicated to teaching. After about 10 hours, my son's performance improved substantially: he was also much more enthusiastic about the subject and found it a lot easier to engage in the classroom as he was no longer behind but in fact ahead of many students because Taha taught him the lessons privately before his teacher could at school. Edgar's performance also improved and he enjoys the subject a lot more. Consequently, I also requested Taha to tutor Chemistry GCSE. After a few months of intensive tuition Edgar achieved in his GCSEs an A at Biology and an A at Chemistry. This was much higher than we could've ever expected and I recommend Taha to anyone whose child is struggling at school.
