About Sue
My particular skill as a maths teacher/tutor is making the subject accessible to all abilities I am able to build up the student ‘ s confidence by making the topics and concepts crystal clear. I am extremely patient and will re explain things as often as necessary till progress is made.
I have taught a great number of students over the years in the uk , Brussels and Switzerland and all have achieved a successful result be it at A level, AS level, IB standard and studies, 11+, common entrance, IGCSE and GCSE.
I’ve also successfully coached children to pass into Wellington and Eton
But it’s not all about getting results and getting into certain schools, it’s about being confident and comfortable with maths. There is also an element of joy and wonder with this subject

I have known Sue King for more than 20 years and was a teaching colleague with her in the Maths Department at the British School of Brussels. She taught Maths up to and including A level and was a conscientious and committed teacher helping students achieve their full potential. In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, she was also a very effective Maths tutor.
Sue and I were colleagues from 2003 to 2012 in the Mathematics department at King Edward VI School Southampton, a highly reputable, independent day school for boys and girls, aged 11 to 18. I have no hesitation in recommending Sue to you. She was a well respected teacher and very popular with pupils. Her teaching style was a unique mix of the traditional and the modern. She was a firm believer in the importance of pupils acquiring strong basic skills but she managed that expectation in a way that appealed to pupils because she made it fun. Many hours were spent by Sue outside the classroom researching ways of delivering the subject in as stimulating and effective a way as possible.
