About Sophie
As a clarinettist I have been classically trained at Chetham's School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I graduated with a BMus Hons.
I hold an ABRSM diploma on clarinet with distinction and grade 8 piano, also with distinction.
I have been fortunate to learn such a lot from some inspiring teachers and feel that I can share both the things that they have taught me, and valuable insights from my own experiences as a solo, orchestral and chamber performer.
As a teacher I have taught both clarinet and piano to both children and adults in a 1 to 1 setting. I am also available for chamber group tuition. I enjoy sharing my passion for music and seeing pupils discover the pleasure you can get from music.
I am always looking for new creative ways to deliver teaching, particularly during such a challenging period of online learning. If you have any questions, please get in touch!
