About Sophie
I am an artist and educator, and worked in education for nine years. I have experience teaching and supporting in Early Years schools, Secondary Schools, Sixth Form Colleges and Further Education Colleges.
I worked at a Sixth Form College and it was here that I fulfilled my PGCE teaching experience. I regularly taught UAL Level 2 Art and Design and life drawing classes. I founded a college Art Club for ESOL and Level 1 students that I ran on a weekly basis. After completing training to become a registered Arts Award Adviser, I helped students gain Arts Award qualifications.
My role required me to work cross-college in numerous departments, supporting students at different academic levels and those facing various barriers to their learning.
My calm, friendly and professional manner allows me to build a good rapport with learners, helping them feel comfortable in my presence. Interacting with students and sharing my knowledge and passion for art is extremely rewarding.
Tutor in Colchester:
I tutored for several years and have tutored all ages, from Primary aged children to adults. I primarily provide Art tuition but I have also worked with individuals studying English as a Second Language or those who wish to improve their command of the English language.

My Art Work:

I am inspired by nature, my loved ones and my life experiences, all of which are reflected in my work.
