Skye volunteered as an IB tutor on a programme supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the this site Foundation. Skye provided high-quality tutorials, supporting a Year 13 student in the crucial months leading to final exams.

Skye's expert background in Biology, coupled with her extensive teaching experience in a university setting, allowed her to deliver engaging and useful lessons. She combined carefully selected visual resources with an interactive and engaging manner to allow the student to build his knowledge and confidence in the subject. Her focus on exam question preparation shows a sound understanding of the requirements of IB Biology.

I supervised Skye during her PhD studies at the University of Exeter. Skye had a keen interest in teaching throughout her PhD programme at the University of Exeter and took the time to complete teacher training to achieve an Advanced Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education gaining the University of Exeter ASPIRE Associate Fellowship certificate, and Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy status, and 30 credits at NQF level 7. Skye has substantial research experience and this will inform her teaching. She is responsible and would be an effective and patient tutor.
