I’m Simon, CELTA qualified English teacher for foreigners
I started teaching general, business and aviation English in Kazakhstan and have taught foreign students at summer school and recently in a private school in Spain. Terrific fun!
I have recently been teaching Syrian refugees here in the UK and have a number of private clients mainly from Eastern Europe.
I started out as an officer and military pilot, and went on to be hotelier, salesman, marketing director and businessman. All these required good communication skills. So, knowledge of language, culture and social skills have been hugely important to me and still are. A love of language and teaching runs in the family. Both my father and elder son were qualified and practised as ESOL/EFL teachers.
Fluent in French, with working Russian, I have been privileged to work all over the world. So I know exactly what it is like to try to master a new language, culture and ideas.
Learning should be fun! Teaching too. New language is about communicating in a new culture. Understanding, expressing ideas and sharing knowledge are the basis for successful language learning and a picture tells a great story.
Even native speakers make mistakes in their own language. Don’t worry about making mistakes. It’s how we all learn!
Please get in touch to work out a learning plan specially for you.
In my and my girlfriend opinion Simon is a good english teacher. He teaches indiviidual method, that's why his students make progress quikly. His lessons are very funny and effective. We recommend this teacher for all.
We make a very big progress.
