About Silvia

Process is my key word! Art & science explorer.

I’m an artist and educator sharing my creative processes, passion for art and science with students of all ages.
I have mentored university students and put on art workshops in schools and nurseries. My teaching method is focused on the thinking and creative processes, investigating the best individual journey for my students, to help them to enjoy and get better at art and making.

Please note my fee p/h is based on 1 to 1 tuition basis. Minimum class time is 2 hours. If I have to travel to you and it takes me over 30 min, I might charge a travel time fee. Don't hesitate to message me to discuss your options.
I have some dates and times available listed already, but if you prefer your lesson to start at a later/earlier time, do let me know.

In my own artistic practice, I’m exploring how we relate to water environments, taking my inspiration from a variety of natural textures and experiences. I aim for a new element of ‘usefulness’ in my work by trying to understand our daily lives, our immediate surroundings and how we can affect their change, for better or for worse. I value a development journey of a project as much as a final result, which is normally reflected in my artistic language, using steel, paper, found natural and man-made objects, concrete, and other materials.
I've exhibited internationally, including an EU-Art-Network exhibition in Palazzo Albrizzi, Venice, Italy, during The Venice Biennale 2009 and I've also participated in a number of shows and art symposiums in Austria, Germany, and Azerbaijan, Slovakia, UK.

Re: Reference for Silvia Krupinska

Written by Sona D
To Whom It May Concern:

Silvia Krupinska has been known to me for three years. Initially she was my tutor during a period of 6 months in year 2014 and subsequently we remained in touch as friends. Therefore I can vouch for her suitability both personally and professionally.

As a full-time student of BA Fine Art course I had the opportunity to undertake work placements with artists or art organisations, facilitated by the School of Arts at Oxford Brookes University. I chose Silvia for my Placement in the Creative and Cultural Industries module mainly because of her outstanding portfolio and her rich résumé as an art practitioner.

During this time we spend together, Silvia guided me through a clear understanding of professional environment and skills requested for professional artists.

In my experience she is very dedicated to her work and passionate about the subject she specializes in. This was evident in the quality and level of support she gave me as my tutor. We were always following Silvia’s punctual teaching schedule, with a clear idea right from the beginning of our collaboration. Furthermore, I appreciated the most Silvia’s excellent organization skills and maintaining interesting and creative structure of our timetable.
I therefore have no reservations in recommending her for this post. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.

Yours sincerely

Art project at Nursery School

Written by Rachel P
Silvia Krupinska and I, the Nursery teacher, worked together with a group of 14 four-year-olds at our diverse Nursery over four afternoons to create a collaborative Art piece.

After an initial meeting with myself to discuss the aims and possibilities, Silvia made detailed plans for the project taking into account the EAD curriculum and ethos of the Nursery.

Throughout the project, Silvia was professional, cooperative and sensitive to the needs of the range of fours year, planning ahead, preparing resources and adapting plans and strategies throughout.

New to working with the age group, Silvia quickly developed skills in communicating with and engaging with them, responding positively to suggestions.
A collaborative art piece inspired by the children's Nursery environment and that the children were proud of. Children having learnt a range a new techniques alig the way.

Teriffic Tutor!

Written by Dustin G
My god-daughter was gifted these art classes over a year ago and we have been extraordinarily happy with Silvia and, as such, have extended classes indefinitely. She has taken a complete novice, in both my daughter and myself, and guided us both though the process of making the most of the site and service, and more importantly, my daughter's interest in art. Silvia has been instrumental in developing her confidence and skills, as well as dealing with a challenging home environment. In addition to home visits, locations visits, supplies and inspiration, Silvia also entered my little one into a local competition. We believe a vital component in not only increasing her confidence but an invaluable experience and introduction to the art world.
Thank you Silvia! We would high commend and recommend her to anyone.
Excellent and a continuing process in which we have every confidence.
