About Sierra
Hi there! My name is Sierra and I am a graduate research student (MRes) at University College London (UCL) and I am looking for part-time tutoring to compliment my studies in Social Anthropology.
Due to the current circumstances all my tutoring is currently online: I am very experienced in designing creative, online sessions to supplement school work.
With extensive experience teaching dance, working at summer schools and running peer education sessions and assemblies while volunteering at a government school in Nepal, I have the necessary communication skills to be an engaging and effective tutor. I find working with young people particularly rewarding and I take an active and creative approach when teaching adapting sessions to particular learning styles and strengths.
As a graduate in Human, Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge with strong performance at both GCSE and A-Level I am confident I have the academic ability to provide a helpful service in the position of a tutor. My academic background lends itself to both social sciences and humanities subjects up to A-Level standard but I am also willing to assist with other skills such as writing and university applications.
I am excited at the opportunity to bring my expertise, enthusiasm and creativity to work with young people on subjects that I enjoy. I am able to work flexibly around my studies and am available to start as soon as possible.
