Experienced tutor with a passion for music and language
I am a graduate of King's College London, where I studied Philosophy and Spanish, graduating with Distinction. I have been a studying the Spanish language since the age of 16 and am now a fluent speaker, having spent much time in Spain and most recently a year in Havana,Cuba as part of my degree. I am comfortable teaching students of all levels and am familiar with both Iberian and Latin American Spanish.
With regards to the guitar, I have been playing since I was 9 years old, took classical grades up to grade 6, then began to study blues and jazz as well as writing my own music. I have extensive experience in teaching of both guitar and singing in jazz, blues, rock, pop, latin, funk and acoustic guitar styles to name a few (for both electric and acoustic guitar learners). I can also help with songwriting and composition should a student wish to develop their own material.
I began studying religious studies at GCSE, continued through to A level and went on to read Philosophy at degree level. I therefore have significant experience in essay writing as well as breaking down, understanding and critically analysing difficult source texts, which are often the most important and tricky aspects for students of Philosophy.
