I have known Sheila Cohen for 50 years since we were philosophy students at University College London. Since then I have made my career in editorial work, Sheila in academia. I have always been impressed by her ability to write in a clear and engaging manner and by her appreciation of the different ways that people express themselves, whether in literature or everyday circumstances. It is this perceptive approach to language that I believe has made her such a success as a teacher. She can focus on what would be of special interest to a person or group, whether of primary school age or at postgraduate level. Her confidence with language and grasp of the nuances of grammar have made her the person that I would go to first for guidance on language issues: for instance, should it be "between you and me" or "between you and I" ? So I recommend Sheila as a sympathetic and dedicated tutor who can be trusted to give expert guidance in English language in a down-to-earth way.
I am not sure what is required here, as I did not employ Sheila, but I hope that she can help users of TutorFair.
