About Serge
I have been tutoring for 5 years privately and 2 years professionally (US-Korean and London-based agencies).
My main strengths are Personal Statements, History at IB and A-level, and relevant essay/thesis advice. I love foreign languages and can teach German up to GCSE level. I am also a native Russian speaker and can offer lessons in the other two East Slavic languages if anyone is interested.

I genuinely enjoy my offered subjects, so I am very motivated to help pique your interest in the content material (hopefully mitigating some of the stress you may feel browsing these ads after a disappointing mock result or any pressure over approaching deadlines).
I am certainly willing to create revision notes for you, period surveys and reading summaries. Going over essays and older assignments together is another great exercise, and I am very happy to assign and mark mock responses.
Ultimately though, a good tutorial is often only a slightly more intellectually rigorous take on a dinner-party conversation (with the host - aka your humble servant - being incredibly interested in anything you have to say). So do enjoy yourself! I will be delighted to answer any of your questions and generally help you in our academic discussions.

Sergei has helped me tremendously with my English skills over the years. As someone who isn't a native speaker I struggled with essay writing and analysis of literature, which Sergei helped me with extensively during my English IB higher level. I achieved a level 7 in this and do not believe this would have been possible without the help of Sergei.
Sergei is a very approachable tutor who has helped me greatly refine my analytical skills. He mainly made me appreciate the importance of the literal devices used within texts and the effects that they have, which undoubtedly resulted in me gaining a greater understanding of pieces read. Furthermore, due to German being my first language he explained the above in both German and English, to propagate the speed at which I understood the material.
