I am an academic who has a thirst for knowledge and a passion for science, engineering, and technology which I hope to pass on. I graduated from the University of Leicester with an undergraduate masters degree (Mchem) in chemistry in 2010. I then went on to complete a Ph.D. in electrochemistry at the University of Southampton in 2017. I have helped at university summer schools and outreach programs explaining complex ideas to participants aged 9-90. I got the opportunity during my Ph.D. to spend a week teaching at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. I currently spend the majority of my time as a research scientist where I am involved in performing cutting-edge research in the development of materials for batteries for electric vehicles. I have been involved in the scouting movement from the age of 7 and continue to help regularly as an assistant cub scout leader.
