Helping students gain places at the best universities

I am an ex-Deputy Headmistress in the independent sector and my specialism is helping students with their applications to university. I also mentor students through their time at school, guiding them through the ups and downs, acting as an independent source of support when things are challenging, whether personally or academically.
I think that what helps me to be successful is that I love what I do. I enjoy working with teenagers and helping them to do their best. I have worked in the independent school sector since 1997 so I have a great deal of experience within education. I am keen to help students find out what they love and get them to the best university that they can get to, if university is the right thing for them. I have years of experience of advising students on their choice of degree subject and university, as well as helping them to write the best personal statement that they can. I help them to research subjects and careers thoroughly before finalising the application and I believe that the earlier this process is started, the better.
I listen carefully and I believe that is imperative when it comes to working with teenagers, who so often feel that they are not listened to. Underneath the most challenging of students is something that needs to be listened to and addressed. It doesn't mean we have to be soft, not at all! But it's always vital to keep our ears open.

Sarah Charters

I have known Sarah Charters for 20 years as both a work colleague and a friend. She is a highly conscientious, efficient and reliable person and is entirely trustworthy and dependable. She engages extremely well with both her peers and students and has been an outstanding teacher, Personal Tutor, Director of Studies and Vice Principal in the time that I have known her and worked alongside her. Her subject knowledge, whether it be around Law A Level or higher education application processes, is excellent and her various editions of the "Getting into Oxford and Cambridge" guide have been widely praised. Sarah is also entirely suitable to work with children and I recommend her to you most warmly.

An excellent outcome for all concerned
