I've been teaching English for over 10 years and am passionate about both language and literature. I enjoy working with all age groups and abilities. I’m fully qualified with a PGCE and a first class degree in English. I also have a CELTA qualification and have several years of experience working with EFL and ESOL learners. I am trained and experienced in supporting learners who struggle with issues like dyslexia, Irlen syndrom and English as a second language.
I teach GCSE and A Level English, as well as GCSE re-sits and one-off exam sessions. I also tutor individuals who are new to the UK and want to improve their work and study prospects. I enjoy working with learners who are passionate about the topic and want to stretch themselves as well as those who struggle and need support. In all cases, my students have performed really well in exams and learnt how to master the skills they need to get the results that they want. My aim is to enable students to become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. I use a variety of methods so that students can enjoy the sessions we have together.
