Friendly, Experienced, High Achieving Teacher and Examiner

I enjoy working with students. I find it incredibly rewarding to see my students succeed. That's why I started tutoring and plan to continue, helping others.

Before I began tutoring, I taught in schools and colleges in London for years, both in challenging schools and in independent schools with entrance exams. In the schools with entrance tests, marking the entrance examination was part of my work. And in all the schools and colleges where I worked, preparing students for internal and public examination was also part of my day.

Because of my previous experience, I am very skilled in working out what my student needs and helping in specific, focused areas. I am able to bring a better quality study time and a collection of tips and techniques, past papers, materials and resources which aid learning.

I'm a keen tutor, because I believe that tutoring has clear benefits for students, benefits which aid in the learning process. I believe that any student can do well with a bit of motivation and the right guidance.

My students are unique and special; they like to work with a professional and have goals in their chosen subjects. They find that in return they receive the benefits of an expert, quality service, one which encourages higher levels of thinking, improves their skills and understanding of their subject and one which they are happy to recommend to others.

I can provide help with all aspects of the core subjects I tutor.

For you, it means that you can get a whole teacher to yourself in these areas - which means increased motivation to succeed and focused help when and where you need it.

I totally believe that tutoring is about instilling confidence and I hope to provide a relaxed and friendly environment - one where learning is fun and you can enjoy learning skills that can help you both now and in the future. I have high expectations both of myself and the students I teach and I believe that this brings the best results.

When not tutoring I work part time as a teacher. I enjoy reading, writing and have spent the last year attending a course in Creative Writing. I have a passion for words, art , drama and singing. I have prior experience of working in these areas and of running workshops in Drama and in Art.

I have a background of guiding my students towards success and can provide excellent references.

Start enjoying the pleasure, increased confidence and opportunities that come from improving your skills. It's easy to get started - just check my availability and book a lesson at a time convenient for you. But please bear in mind that I am sometimes called to teach lessons at short notice - book early to avoid disappointment.

I welcome your questions and if you need any further information, then please do not hesitate to send a message for a free discussion or advice.

Thank you for reading this profile.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.

personal reference for Sandra Weinreb

I have known Sandra since 2010, both in a working & social capacity: I am a teacher with 40 years' experience. At all times I have found Sandra to be honest & reliable, with considerable expertise in her subject, and with all the patience, sensitivity, good humour and interpersonal skills required to make an excellent tutor. she is also a teacher with over 25 years experience and has previously taught in both academic institutions and as a personal tutor. I have also read and enjoyed Sandra's creative writing, about which she is highly informative and knowledgeable. she is extremely articulate with outstanding communication skills and I am certain both parents and students would greatly appreciate employing Sandra as a personal English tutor.
Sandra has successfully taught in London Schools as well in the capacity of a academic personal tutor.
