Mathematics has always been my passion. I love exploring different ways of solving a problem, and applying the knowledge I have acquired throughout my studies to its various applications.
Being a peer mentor and assisting my fellow students has allowed me to come up with a number of different teaching methods dependent on what the students needed. This allowed me to solidify my own knowledge as well as come up with numerous ways of solving problems.

It is my pleasure to write a reference for Safa Flaih.
I taught Safa mathematics for three years from his GCSE's through to his A-Level studies.
Safa is undoubtedly one of the hardest working students I have come across. Safa completely immersed himself in his A-level studies. The way Safa applied himself to his studies is very admirable, no matter what the challenge was he took it upon himself to solve the problem and he did so. Safa's mathematical knowledge is exceptional, and he thoroughly enjoys applying the subject at various levels and also creates an excellent link between the topics. Safa is very confident in his own ability and will come out with various methods of solving a problem.
Safa with his warm and approachable manner made him an ideal candidate to be a peer mentor. As Head of the Mathematics Department, Safa through-out his sixth form studies, assisted myself on many occasions in the department with students who were struggling with their GCSE's and A-Level studies. He has this way of making students feel at ease, he is able to adapt his style to enhance students' understanding. The progress our students made from the help and guidance Safa provided was remarkable.
Safa was consistently one of the hardest working students I have had the pleasure of teaching. Safa is an exceptional student and one I feel very privileged to have taught. It is my pleasure to write a reference for Safa Flaih.
