- What kind of experience do you have?
Over the past fifteen years, I have helped countless achievers accomplish their academic goals and win coveted places at a plethora of prestigious British Independent Schools, 'Russell Group' universities in the UK and 'Ivy League' universities in the United States.
In this time, I have become one of the most sought-after educational consultants in London and have clients on multiple continents across the globe.
With a unique skill of taking complicated issues and breaking them down into simple, easy-to-understand concepts, I am best known for creating exceptional results and impact for my private clients. Being a qualified teacher, my knowledge of the British education and examination systems is second-to-none, which allows me to navigate these areas routinely with focus and precision. Combining commitment and energy, I teach my charges in signature detail how to get the most out of themselves and surpass any academic challenge.
I have undertaken international residential placements in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and the United States and have tutored online to students in India and China.
I write regularly on tutoring and other matters of interest.

Initially tutoring 10 to 13 year olds in preparation for pre-tests and scholarships to top British Independent Schools, I now specialise in mentoring, motivating and tutoring Mathematics and Physics to GCSE and A-Level candidates.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
My specialist subjects are Mathematics and Physics but I also teach Chemistry, Biology and Economics up to GCSE. Additionally, I tutor all subjects for Common Entrance preparation, focusing on Maths and Sciences for scholarship.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I received my undergraduate degree in Theoretical Physics from UCL in 2005 and my PGCE shortly afterwards.
- How much do you charge?
I typically charge £100 to £125 per hour depending on the subject, location, lesson duration, level and objective. I usually do not charge for travel if within a reasonable distance from my location. The full lesson price is payable if a tutorial is cancelled within 24 hours, half the lesson price is payable if cancelled within 48 hours.
Residential rates vary between £400 to £500 per day and would normally include 5 hours of tutoring.
- Where do you teach?
Tuition usually takes place at students' homes abroad or in Central and South West London. I also tutor from my offices in Clapham and Purley. Skype and FaceTime are available.

Online tutoring is undertaken via Skype or FaceTime with use of an online whiteboard for shared use with students.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Maybe you're already doing well but know that there's much more room for growth. Private tutoring is not just about fixing problems or removing obstacles. It's about creating new possibilities, giving you better strategy and improving what you're already doing. That's where my mentoring capabilities come to the fore.
Clients choose to work with me because I am not just a one-trick-pony “tutorâ€, but a dedicated right hand man to those who are prepared to do whatever it takes to make the most of their talents.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
After lacking confidence and getting low predicted grades, I found Rumel and he helped with all the problems I was having in Maths and specifically M1, and he boosted my confidence in Physics. Rumel was very welcoming and easy to learn from, and I would strongly recommend.
Rumel has worked with both my Son and Daughter for the past few years.
Enabling my son to pass his calculus exam and ultimately his Degree in economics.
My daughter struggled slightly to understand maths, she is now very confident with maths and is in the gifted and talented class for Mathematics
Rumel is patient softly spoken and engaged with both my children at the right level, who both describe him as cool..
I highly recommend him.Rumel has taught both my sons Maths for 2 years now. My eldest son obtained an A* in GCSEs last year and obtained an A in his AS results this year. My younger son has also done really well obtaining A*s in all of his work to date. My daughter started with Rumel in May and has been moved up to a higher set for the next academic year. I would highly recommend Rumel as a Maths tutor.
