About Ruchir
Teaching became an important part of my life when I was in college. During this time, I volunteered as a teacher for several summer schools and workshops. I realized that Science and Mathematics became much more fun for me when I could share my knowledge with others. I would employ mathematical toys, exemplify using practical situations, give them cues so that they can explore and play around with ideas. That was the aim: give students a good direction and they pick it up from there. Since then, I have been mentoring children and adults from all levels - junior, middle and senior schools, and university students - on a variety of subjects, ranging from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

What should be the trajectory of a freely-falling tennis ball so that it takes the least amount of time? Guess what? It’s not a straight line! Have you heard about the famous Langton ants or Hilbert’s infinite hotel, which can accommodate any number of people? Science and Mathematics are full of such exciting ideas, and on this platform, I intend to help you develop an appreciation and a deeper understanding of them.
While teaching, I make sure that a student gets the main ideas of a topic, and more importantly, think intuitively about it. Emphasis will be given on strong foundations in a topic. I believe in personalized teaching since everybody has their way of grasping, and therefore, I keep my teaching style flexible.
For students looking for a long-term mentorship, I usually begin with a free trial lesson for around a couple of hours, where I understand the student - their needs, difficulties, and expectations. I usually encourage parents of much younger children to join in for the conversation. Learning is a long-term process. It takes some time for students to begin picking up things. And when that happens, results come automatically. So, I advise students to enjoy the process, instead of focussing on quick fixes for better results.
The commitment to teaching and learning is a mutual process. A teacher, in the end, can only provide a direction to a student. Students have to make an effort, and this is a responsibility they must understand.
Students, who wish to discuss small topics, assignments, or homework, are welcome to contact me as well.

Ruchir was my science and maths tutor last year and did a great job in improving my understanding in the subjects.
I am more than proud to write this recommendation for Mr Ruchir. I sought Ruchir's help while I was preparing for few competitive exams and was weak with few topics in physics and maths. Not only did he help me have interest in those topics but regain my confidence which helped me a lot with the exams.
Ruchir has been pursuing a training in mathematics for a very long time and has mastered the essentials of mathematics. He went to BITS-Pilani, one of the most prestigious universities of India and worked with one of the most distinguished academicians of the country. Later on, he went on to pursue a Master's from Imperial College.
I feel that any student can learn immensely from him.RUCHIR is :
- very patient
- clear in he’s explanations
- inspiring
- honest
- punctual
- my son feel very relax in he’s company form not been so good in maths became one of the best in he’s class
- talented
- creative
- good listener
Just in general very nice person and prosperous young man .
I would strongly recommend RUCHIRI was lucky to find Ruchir to mentor my daughter for her A-levels. From our first meeting, he got along so well with my daughter. Within the first few lessons, he was able to pin-point her weaknesses. He planned his lessons with this in mind. My daughter is getting better with each lesson and her fear for Math is turning into a passion now. Thank you so much, Ruchir.
It is my pleasure to provide a reference for my friend Ruchir. In our mathematical and scientific discussions, I always found him good in reasoning. He has the capability to teach and clear the doubts of a student regarding Maths and Science streams. I wish him all the best for future.
Ruchir teaches maths and science on an advanced level. He is good at explaining reasons why and techniques for a particular subject.
