About Roxanna
I am a cello tutor who enjoys teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, always aiming to inspire my students, driving them to improve and truly enjoy playing the cello!
My approach to teaching is very open-minded and flexible - I tailor lessons to each individuals` needs and offer lessons for:
- ABRSM Grade exams
- TC Grade exams
- ABRSM music theory exams
- GCSE and A-Level music performance exams
- general personal improvement
- playing for personal leisure
- ALL AGES & ABILITIES (from age 5 to adult learners, and beginner to advanced)
I teach from my flat in Surrey Quays, but can also travel to my students (with a small travel fee).

A bit about me: I am a freelance cellist and I hold a BMus Music (Hons 2:1) degree from Goldsmiths, University of London - where I specialised my studies in classical performance and music education.
I often perform in concerts/events across London, and teach privately as well as in London schools (incl. London Borough of Southwark, London Borough of Redbridge and Dulwich).
I hold a fully CRB/DBS check.

I have been working with Roxanna for many years now, and I can confidently say she is an excellent cellist and teacher. She enjoys teaching, and always pushes her students to their full potential!
As a cellist and general musician she is also passionate and dedicated - I would highly recommend her.Roxanna has been tutoring my daughter for the past three years. They both get along very well as Roxanna has a very kind but strong personality. She has a direct approach, immediately addresses any issues and certainly knows how to bring the best out of my daughter. Roxanna got my daughter through grade 8, her A level music performance and now recently helped her achieve a music scholarship at her university.
