In 1997 I graduated in mathematics with first class honours from Goldsmith's College London, where I won the third year prize. I have been teaching mathematics since 1987, starting in a private tutorial college. In 2017 I completed eight years of teaching GCSE, A level mathematics and further mathematics at a school in Essex. I get about half my students on recommendation.
Students usually find that their confidence builds up fairly quickly when they start lessons with me. My general approach is to ask the student what they want to go over and go from there; but I can structure a course if necessary. My students usually get very high grades and I have helped some students with STEP. At A level I do not cover D1 or D2.
