About Reza
My passion for biology has driven me to pursue a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, followed by two Master’s degrees in Cancer and Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Translational Immunology. I am now working in a research lab towards my PhD, studying the role of the immune system in breast cancer. Away from my day to day research in the lab, I am passionate about inspiring and teaching biology to students of all ages (GCSE, A-level and beyond), allowing them to explore their full potential and understand fundamental principles in an intuitive and fun way. I regularly supervise undergraduate and master’s dissertation students including visiting international students, guiding them to develop their scientific knowledge and apply this where possible to exciting experiments. I also enjoy teaching biology and research skills to A-level students through annual outreach schemes, which has allowed me to adapt my teaching skills to suit the needs of school-age students. The biggest enjoyment for me comes from enabling individuals to harness the skills they have developed to grasp difficult concepts and achieve the highest grades in order to achieve their goals. Using a patient and tailored approach I aim to provide the necessary environment that will enable and inspire the next generation to pursue a career in science.
