I am a PGCE qualified Primary teacher with 16 years experience of teaching in London Primary schools, both in State and Independent sector. Due to my hard work, passion and commitment, students in my classes have mostly done very well.
I also have done one to one and small group private tutoring.
I have recently left my job as a head of Early Years and am now registered with a couple of supply agencies to start Supply teaching from September 2017. Therefore I can now devote more time towards private tutoring.
I can help Primary students with:
KS1 and KS2 Maths and English;
KS1 and KS2 SATs preparation;
7plus and 11plus independent schools' entrance exams.
The students I have tutored have obtained Level 5 to 6 in KS2 SATs/ passed entrance exams of schools such as Watford Grammar (girls and boys), QE boys, Haberdashers, St Margaret's etc.
My particular passion is teaching Early Phonics and reading skills, and I am committed to making every child a reader.
Having done the Secondary teachers training in Pakistan, I am a competent Urdu teacher. I taught Urdu up to GCSE level to my own three children and all three of them passed GCSE Urdu with A grade. I taught Urdu to children of my friends and relatives , and also used to teach Urdu in a Saturday school in Harrow.
I have also done stage1 Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education, and therefore can help adults with basic English and Maths skills as well as teaching to speak, read and write Urdu.
I got an Interptreting qualification too and can offer interpreting and translation services - from English to Urdu and Urdu to English.
I am passionate about teaching and learning and people say that I administer this passion into my students.
I am willing to travel up to 5 miles and can tutor in the evenings and at weekends during term times. During the school holidays I can also be available during weekdays for daytime tuition.
Please note that on top of the tuition fee specified, I will charge travelling expenses depending on the distance. I am a car driver.
