About Rebecca
Hi my name is Becca. I am an experienced and considerate tutor who can help kids and teenagers achieve their highest potential in their KS2 SATS, KS3 English skills, GCSEs and A Levels.
I have nearly 3 years tutoring experience, as well as 4 years of experience working in schools. Since 2020, my GCSE students have either achieved the grade they were predicted or a grade above. Two previous students passed their 11+ exams and were accepted into their first choice of school. I have degrees in English with drama (BA) and Publishing (MA).
I tailor my lessons to the needs, levels and abilities of the pupil/ student. I like to use a mix of activities, games, mini quizzes, and discussions. With GCSE and A level students, I also work on exam, essay and revision techniques and help them build a revision study timetable that will help them study for their exams but also will give them time to unwind and relax.
English is not everyone's favourite subject, but it was mine at school. I want to use my love for English, literature, drama and reading to help, support and encourage students to reach their full potential.

Becca has provided daily tuition for our 7 year old son, supplementing the work provided by his school during lockdown. Becca has taught across all of his subjects including maths, literacy, science, religious studies, PE, french and history - she has also introduced Latin. My son has thoroughly enjoyed being taught by Becca, she has made the lessons fun and he has started back at school with confidence and a new found love of maths. Becca has also had to contend with a boisterous puppy and a 10 year old competing for her time whilst teaching my son - she has great patience!
Rebecca was a great student who studied hard and integrated well with her peers. All her work was of a high standard and I have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca for employment opportunities.
