Enjoy music lessons with a renowned London based teacher!

My name is Rafal, I am a known classical musician with many years of teaching experience. I studied at prestigious universities in the United States while always receiving full scholarship for 10 years. My studies were with famous American professors: Elias Goldstein, Espen Lilleslatten, Matthew Daline, Jerzy Kosmala, Steve Wyrczynski, and Alan de Veritch. I graduated with a doctorate degree in Viola Performance (major) and Theory of Music (minor) at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge (USA) in May 2014. My dissertation: "A Tale of Lovers: Chopin's Nocturne Op. 27 No. 2 as a Contribution to the Violist's Repertory" is accessible online to the public view. As a first person in the world I made a viola transcription of that particular Chopin's work. During my artistic life I gave numerous performances in the USA: Chicago, San Diego, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Jackson, Houston, Dallas, Irvine, Bloomington, Brevard; and in Europe: Leipzig, Warsaw. I performed often with professional orchestras such as Acadiana Symphony Orchestra in Lafayette (USA), Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra (USA), Louisiana Sinfonietta (USA) and Rapides Symphony Orchestra in Alexandria (USA). The experience I gained from playing at those ensembles enriched my familiarity with orchestral repertory and its better understanding, which I find so important to possess while being a professional violin and viola teacher.
In addition to playing the instruments, I developed a strong passion in teaching the music to others. One of my recent pedagogical engagements was being an instructor at Artpeggios West London Music School in London (United Kingdom) and Kids’ Orchestra programme in Baton Rouge (USA), where I taught both violin and viola to young children of various social status and cultural background.
During my studies at Louisiana State University and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music I held a position of Graduate Assistant. It was an academic post reserved only for best students who not only had to pass the entrance exams with the highest score among other candidates, but also, had to keep up very high grade average and promote the school outside of the campus throughout the year.
Over the period of my studies I took a large number of music history and music theory classes that I finished with very good grades. The level of those classes ranging from a beginner to the most advanced, taught by the outstanding faculty, contributed greatly to my overall knowledge of music. I find it essential to be a well-educated person in order to be considered a true musician and teacher.
