Friendly and flexible academic and vet admissions tutor
I am a fourth year student studying veterinary medicine at the Royal Veterinary College (UoL), having recently completed an intercalated degree in neuroscience at King's College London. I am happy to tutor in a variety of subjects, mostly science-based but also maths and English. I will chat to prospective tutees before starting lessons to get a feel for exactly what they want to get out of the sessions and come up with a plan together that is the best approach for the individual student.
I love the sciences, but understand that they're not everyone's cup of tea and that the current curriculum in schools isn't always the most inspiring. Having been through the education system myself not so long ago, I understand the stresses and pitfalls students may come across and appreciate the importance of making subjects engaging and relevant to the individual.
I have some previous experience in tutoring, ranging from mentoring younger students across a range of subjects throughout my time in secondary school to tutoring a GCSE student in biology, chemistry and physics during the run-up to exams. I have also tutored a primary school student with ADHD who required personalised one-on-one sessions to complement school lessons.
In addition to academic tutoring, I am available to meet with students planning on applying to vet school and wanting advice on any part of the application process - work experience, grades, personal statement, interviews, etc.
