About Rachel
I decided to start working as a personal tutor after helping a friend who was struggling with writing. I enjoyed helping and using the knowledge I had gained through my education. I studied English and History to Postgraduate level at university and always enjoyed learning...I still do!
In 2011 I took on my first official tutor job and I've never looked back. I've taught from ages five through all Key Stages and to GCSE and A level in Language and Literature. I've also taught adults English as a foreign language and done confidence building sessions. I have worked at Staffordshire University with dyslexic students as an academic notetaker, scribe and proofreader. I have seen my students gain in confidence and grades go up; that's due to me providing bespoke lessons to suit individual needs, a mix of lesson styles and hard work on both sides. You can achieve and if I am your tutor, I will do my best to ensure you will!
