About Rachel
I have been teaching and mentoring for about a 4 years now and have enjoyed it so much that I have decided to dedicate more time to it. I have taught A-Level, Degree and BVC/BPTC students and welcome students at any academic level. It is rewarding to watch a student start from the point of grasping certain elements of the subject and then write the most incredibly essays demonstrating how much they have developed.
I very much enjoy helping students practice and develop their advocacy, preparation for applications and skeleton arguments. This is not just helping someone grow academically but also developing their own style and their confidence.

I find that everyone learns differently and being able to teach 1:1 gives both the tutor and the student the opportunity to get the most out of the lesson. I very much enjoy discussion and debate to secure the understanding of the subject in hand. I'm a firm believer in the quote by Einstein that if you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough.
I like the student to tell me the area of law they would like to cover and specifically the areas causing issue. I then create a lesson plan to cover these areas but I prefer lively interaction rather than read and regurgitate.

Perfect! Very rarely do you find a tutor so professional and yet so friendly. Rachel has a distinct ability to simplify complex areas of the law, particularly, in relation to key concepts in core post grad modules. Rachel consistently tailored each session and encouraged critical thinking throughout. In essence, I have bridged the gap between procedural knowledge and practice. Rachel taught me the basics of contract law for my business so that I would be better armed when dealing with suppliers and general commercial contracts. She made everything so easy to follow and was very patient even when I found some elements difficult. I could not recommend her highly enough!
Rachel helped me a few years ago to grasp the basics of contract law to help with an area that had arisen within my job. She was very good at explaining things and helped arm me with the basics and a checklist to refer to going forward as I do not have a legal background. She's very approachable and reliable.
