Has been my son’s tutor for the past 4 years and has recently started with my 5 year old daughter.
No matter the ability of the child Miss Poonam’s method of teaching is adapted accordingly. I have witnessed her dedication and love of teaching, she knows how to engage the attention of the child and keep them focused on the problem at hand all the while making it seem effortless and fun.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Miss Poonam as a mathematics tutor as she has proved to be a highly skilled tutor and mentor to my children.

Poonam is a massive blessing. After struggling with A-level maths at the beginning of year 12 we decided to get Daniel a tutor. Immediately there was an improvement in his grades at school and overall attitude towards the subject. He got an A* at the end which would not have been possible without Poonam. Poonam has been an exceptional tutor for my daughter during her GCSEs. My daughter was struggling with maths and was not feeling confident in taking her exams. I couldn’t recommend Poonam more highly as a tutor for maths GCSEs. She comes to each lesson highly prepared - having circulated prep in advance. The sessions themselves are super productive which keeps my daughter focused without the stress. As a result, Natasha has regained her confidence and indeed enjoyment of maths - materially changing the results from mocks. My only regret is that I didn’t discover Poonam earlier - and that she doesn’t teach more subjects.

Poonam tutored my son once a week for about 9 months when he was sitting for all the 11+ / 13+ school exams. She was immediately able to engage him, he found it extremely helpful to have her support. She is very organised and provides great material for children to work on during the week. Poonam has very clear communication and provides timely feedback when parents need to do anything different / additional . Would highly recommend Poonam.

My son just could not keep up in maths. He'd had two years of math teachers that really let him down, but Poonam was able to turn this all around.

Poonam helped my son with his maths prep for 11+. When he started with her he had quite a few gaps in his knowledge. Poonam was able to swiftly identify the gaps, improve his skills and also taught him to apply it in exam questions. She did this an engaging manner helping him boost his confidence as well.
Once his knowledge was complete she then worked with him on improving exam technique, personalising it for each school exam and their methods.
The result has been fantastic and my son has gotten the schools he wanted. I could not recommend her more.

She has a thorough knowledge of the different exam boards and syllabi and her tuition concentrates on this. Her approach is a more holistic approach to the understanding of maths so that all potential problems found on papers can be addressed. She provides the necessary learning so that no maths paper should be approached with fear.

I was truly blessed to have Poonam tutoring me for my GCSE for last two years.I would never have believed that I would have got a grade 9. Poonam is fantastic teacher. She cares about every lesson outcome and gives lots of homework related to the current topic to make sure the student knows it well. Her lessons are all very well thought in advance and her experience makes it work in the most effective way.

We came to see Poonam only two and a half weeks before Joy’s first GCSE exam. In this incredibly short time she helped Joy advance from a poor grade 4(C) mock result to a grade 7(A). My Son found Poonam at the beginning of his A levels.We were very pleased to see his progress and passion developed over two years of his study with Poonam. After every lesson I found him very motivated and full of praise for Poonam's teaching style.

Poonam is very committed and works very hard with her students. She is very good at bringing best in them and also motivating them to do better. She is very knowledgeable and resourceful. She makes learning of subject very interesting and targets achievable.

Poonam and my son met just under 3 months before his final A2 exam. From the get go her lessons were fast, organised and personally tailored. Poonam's broad knowledge of the subject saw my son tackling questions from different exam boards with varying difficulty which not only challenged him but also worked towards exam technique. Despite the short period, my son excelled noticeably but was such a shame that he met Poonam very late on. With Poonam's hard work, commitment and enthusiasm my son was able to secure a place at medical school and is very much looking forward to starting this September! We live in Switzerland & are planning to move back to U.K. To prepare our son for the 13+ entrance exams we engaged Poonam for intensive private lessons. The time frame was only 10 days.
We appreciate Poonam's flexibility that she moved things around to create space for the lessons. Her priority was to assess & evaluate the level of her student & then build lessons around what our son hadn't studied in Switzerland, all within a span of 1-2days.

Poonam is a very good teacher. She points out the subjects that are less taught at school. She also helps with the exam techniques.

I asked Poonam to prepare my daughter for late 11+ maths exam and to help my son to surpass certain problems in A-level maths .She did such a wonderful job in a very short period of time. She is committed, encouraging and very kind tutor.

At the beginning of the year i was struggling with maths and I was unable to meet my target grade, which made me resent maths. However, after I met Poonam I soon started to love maths. Her teaching methods are amazing. She explains every step in detail and if you're still confused about a certain topic she will repeat it a 1000x until you fully understand it and are confident about it. Also, she'd constantly encourage me that I can do well and she pushed me out of my comfort zone and her support helped me significantly.

Ms Amit has been teaching me Mathematics for the past year and in that time, thanks to her fantastic teaching, I have made phenomenal progress.

Her ability to explain and teach complex topics is second to none. This is demonstrated by the speed at which we were able to cover topics in depth: We were able to cover all six of my modules in only six months.

Furthermore, she is able to teach all modules equally well, from core mathematics to statistics to mechanics.
