About Paul
Currently studying masters at Bristol University.
I have recently started a Masters and internship program with AIRBUS in Global Supply Chain and Aeronautics Operation Management. In 2019 I started my first masters MSc in Mathematical Engineering at Bristol University. I graduated my BEng in 2018 and was awarded a first class (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. During my undergraduate I did some tutoring, mostly primary level. However, I also found myself helping my peers and teaching them the course we were learning.
I like to find alternative ways to teach than the ones provided at school/lectures. Focusing on 'real world' examples to help relate and visualize what is occurring or try to explain the subject so you understand what is happening, this is key. I also will prepare you for exams breaking down how to get to the answer as soon as possible, extracting only the necessary out of the question. Along side this, I will also stress the importance of repetition and practice, providing OPTIONAL homework, which I will correct and we can go through in lessons, if you want to.
I provide lessons at several levels, if you wish me to teach at degree level it should be something related to my Bachelors degree. I am happy to teach primary-level to A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Spanish.
I am also happy to teach any subjects found in BTECs in Mechanical Engineering.
I require subject notes and topics 2 days prior to the lecture. (E.g. Give me the name and chapter of the book you are following or a photo of your homework) This helps me prepare for the lesson and know the methodology and to know the way you are taught. There is always another way to tackle a problem. If I am not provided with the subject material I may cancel the lesson.
Pricing for online tutoring is set automatically at £25/h. Please see bellow what pricing bracket you fit in.
Online tutoring:
- Primary to secondary school £15/h.
- GSCE, level 2 BTEC £18/h.
- AS, A-Level or level 3 BTEC £25/h.
- Degree level £30/h, £35/h or £45/h (depending on level).
I will consider small groups at discounted rates, depending on number of students, etc.
Cancellation policy, if you wish to cancel or change the time of a lesson please notify me at least 24h before the lesson. If I am not notified before that time I will charge the full price of the lesson.
