Happy 2017!
I teach GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics. My colleagues are senior teachers/ head of departments and they teach English, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Business Studies. My wife and her sincere team teaches the junior wings: 11+, KS1 and KS2 classes.

We are providing tutorials for:

KS1 and KS2 SATs

11 plus coaching for Year 4 and Year 5

Early GCSE for children from Year 6 to Year 9:
We are focusing on exam preparation by individual subject. This Early GCSE preparations and examinations do not affect their school education and its examinations. It gives interesting challenges especially for those who underwent the 11+ exam preparation. Early GCSE keeps our children active and very progressive, for example,

o They try to think the way Pythagoras thought and make a guess of his theorem.
o They learn trigonometry and estimate the distance between stars
o They enjoy how maths is used in deriving physics
o They practice essay writing and GCSE grammar
o They understand why logarithm is used in calculating pH
o They get into the function of stem cells and they know chlorophyll is green

Children are currently focusing on GCSE Maths as their first exam. The advantage is if they get an A or B grade now, they can easily try for A* in the consecutive exams till Year 11 exam in School. As they progress, they will be appearing for GCSE English, Science, Computer Science, Music, Economics and regional languages of their preference. At present, we have regional language teachers for Chinese Mandarin, GCSE (Tamil) and GCSE (Urdu). We welcome other language teachers.

For all classes the fee is £125 per month. The weekly classes are of two to three hours durations.

My thought:

Making the early teenage as an interesting time

Why do we do early GCSE for children from Year 6 to 9

As we have no more KS3 SATs after KS2 SATs children has no real challenge till GCSE exam. So, asking them to study and do homework does not have a serious meaning from their point of view. So, they get bored and distracted. Their early teen age is not going effectively. This is what I realized, so, I started the early GCSE for children from Year 6 to 9 at my centre in Reading and Slough.

We are focusing on exam preparation by individual subject. This Early GCSE preparations and examinations do not affect their school education and its examinations. It gives interesting challenges especially for those who underwent the 11+ exam preparation.

We also support the children who would like to take part in National Challenges for Maths and Competitions in Science, Engineering and Computer Science. So, I believe this is a solution for making the early teenage as an interesting time in their life.
