During the period spanning October 2015 until the end of April 2016, Patrick Else was appointed as English Assistant in two separate establishments in the Alsace namely a lower secondary school catering to students between 11 and 15 years old as well as a lycée, catering to students between 16 and 18 years old, preparing for their Baccalaureat. It is in this latter context that I had the pleasure of working with Patrick, with whom contact and work both came very easily; indeed, he worked with my students either individually or in small groups, to hone their oral skills but also to prepare for their final Baccalaureat examinations . While Patrick occasionally co-animated the full classes, he essentially worked autonomously with the students, providing advice and correction where needed, guiding the students in their work in a pleasant, encouraging, efficient and forthcoming way. My students were very enthusiastic about their work with Patrick and the positive effect of his work was felt during the examinsations. Moreover, Patrick did not limit himself to contact during sessions; students who sought additional help or contact were not turned away; Patrick gladly answered e-mails and provided additional advice and help, including to students applying to British Universities and preparing for the TOEFL. Aside from his position as assistant in a formal school context, Patrick also tutored various students in English.
As a result, Patrick has acquired in a short period of time quite valuable and varied experience in tutoring, be it with regard to age or form and content of tutoring. He has always proven enthusiastic, undertaking and forthcoming, capable of adapting to the needs of his public to assist them as efficiently as possible. Consequently, I can highly recommend Patrick Else for a position that is linked to tutoring,
