About Olivia

Enthusiastic London based tutor

I have recently finished my MSc at the London School of Economics in Social Anthropology and I am on a gap year before I start my PhD next autumn. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford where I studied Sanskrit with Pali.

In sixth form I volunteered to tutor lower school pupils in Latin which I found a rewarding and insightful experience. I also had my own tutors in the last year of school so I can understand what is wanted and needed from both sides.

I am a very patient and understanding tutor and I hope to help students reach their full potential. I hope to make tutoring session engaging and as exciting as possible! I know how stressful exams can be and I am also willing to give tips on revision and exam technique as well as Oxford interview prep.

Fantastic and highly intelligent tutor

Written by Phoebe H
I've been lucky enough to work with Olivia for three years while we were studying at Oxford University, and I have no doubt that she would be a fantastic tutor for your child. She has a natural ability for explaining complex topics and making them seem simple and approachable, and will take time to make sure the student really understands things and is able to perform well in exams. She is very diligent and hard-working, putting the time in to make sure she's giving 100% to whatever she is doing. She is also organised, and will prepare lessons thoroughly.

Olivia reference

Written by Sara G
Olivia is a kind, hardworking and extremely reliable individual and when she was in sixth form she tutored lower school students in Latin. Olivia's intelligence and her exceptional character will undoubtedly mean that she will make a great tutor.
Subject:
Latin
Outcome:
Gave students who were new to Latin confidence in their abilities. Most of the students were Yr 7-8 and had never studied Latin or a MFL before. This allowed their further studies to flourish.
