About Nicola
Hello, I`m Nicola. I am a medical student entering into my 4th year at University College London. I have just completed an intercalated BSc in Infection and Immunology and am predicted a First Class Honours. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level and achieved A*A*A and A at Maths AS-Level. I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE.
I am passionate about education and have a wide variety of teaching experience in a range of formal and informal settings. I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor. I truly believe in the importance of building a positive learning environment and encouraging students to be pro-active learners. I am especially passionate about making science interesting and engaging. By learning together and providing students with the guidance and support they need, they will achieve their best results and gain learning skills which will last throughout their education.
I have a range of teaching and tutoring experience to students of a variety of ages and abilities and I understand how to adapt study materials to each student in order to create an individualised learning experience.
I have worked with SnapRevise (a popular online revision resource) writing their A-level Biology content. Therefore, I have recently reviewed the entire A-level biology syllabus for multiple exam boards including writing practice exam questions and have access to high quality revision material.
I have a high-level understanding of the medical school admission process. I applied to both BMAT and UKCAT universities and was granted an offer following interview at the 4 medical schools I applied to (UCL, Imperial College, Kings College London, and Birmingham University). I have also tutored other students for entry to medical school including personal statement guidance, entrance exam tutoring and running mock interview sessions. I have also worked with the InvestIn Education Young Doctor Programme so I understand what is required for a successful application.
I have an up to date Enhanced DBS certification and am happy to provide references.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I have known Nicola for a couple of years at university, and during this time she has been extremely proactive with taking up extra curricular activities which involve a tutoring or mentorship role with other peers. Most notably these include tutoring in 1-2-1 and group tutorial settings on content covered for exams, and mentoring incoming medical school students to help them prepare for their transition into university. Throughout these activities, as well as a few others in similar settings, she has consistently demonstrated a high level of organisation and preparedness, in addition to an ability to bond with her tutees/mentees and develop a strong sense of trust. To summarise I would strongly recommend Nicola for this role as a tutor due to her proven track record and high reliability in similar settings previously.
