About Nick
Hi! My name is Nick, I'm 23 and I'm a Master's student at LSE in London. I've just spent a year in Paris, where I studied at Sciences Po university and taught English part-time. I studied French and Spanish at undergraduate level in the UK.
I'm passionate about languages. Learning (and often struggling with) French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic has made me a better and more sensitive English teacher, more aware of the difficulties and subtleties in mastering my mother tongue.
I firmly believe that teaching is a two-way learning experience - an interaction between two or more people, rather than a set a directives from one.
I try to make my lessons fun and engaging - grammar points are important, but so are word games, storytelling and role plays.
I have over 3 years of experience teaching English to all ages, from 3-year-olds in Spain and 10-year-olds in Paris to middle-aged adults in Peru. I am comfortable conducting lessons in French or Spanish with beginners, but I try to speak in English as much as possible.
