About Niall
With over 4000 hours classroom experience as a teacher, teacher trainer and tutor I am confident I will be help you achieve your academic goals in Science.
I have spent the last eight years teaching Science to pupils of all abilities in a challenging secondary schools in West London as part of the Teach First program. My current school came fourth in the country in 2016. The last five years have been spent leading and managing other teachers. Why? I was very lucky to receive an amazing education. I believe that all young people should be able to benefit from the best education possible to maximise their potential.
Not only do I love helping others to learn, I also love Science. The 'oohs' and 'aahs', the 'wows' and the 'whys?', and especially the 'huhs?' make it the best subject to teach. However, it is as challenging as is it engaging because it combines both academic and practical aspects, so Science should be taught with a focus on content and skills. But these must be broken down into chunks and steps, which are well pitched for each and every student and are relevant to the real world. Importantly, nothing should ever be told; only questions should be asked. This is my method.
While not tutoring I am building a business inspired by my passion for education, which hopes to leverage the power of technology to enhance the development of teachers and improve the achievement of pupils. I also play a lot of football and love to cook. Every summer I also return to Teach First to train new teachers how to teach and have even done some training with experienced teachers on how to teach teachers how to teach!!

Outcome : very good!Perfect! Great result after only a few lessons with Niall
My daughter took a few Chemistry (GSCE) lessons with Niall and the result has been very impressive.
Niall´s lessons were always very engaging and insightful and they helped my daughter to structure her on-going learning of Chemistry in a more structural and effective way. Niall always came prepared for his lessons and we will highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a very good tutor.

As a happy second year university student, there are only a few who I can thank that are not in my immediate family, Niall being one. He is a brilliant biology teacher who is passionate about the subject he teaches. The enthusiasm he has for his subject area has inspired me and contributed to my journey through sixth form to university.
Niall Alcock, last academic school year he pushed me too the limit. Very experienced, patient and very qualified. Learning science was a pleasure with him. My grade was dramatically increased. Throughout the year he prepared me very well for my exam. His style of teaching is very engaging which makes learning science fun! I highly reccomed him.
Unlike some other teachers I've been taught by, Niall works impressively hard at his job.
He's created very reputable impression of himself at Stockley Academy, and provides a variety of ways of learning rather than pure writing and reading.
Arguably one of the best teachers of Stockley Academy, and I'm certain that most of the other students here would agree. This is a great idear and can help alot.
Niall is full of enthusiam for science, his passion for the subject is evident through his teaching. He can easily adapt a method to benefit an individual making him a excellent tutor. I would highly reccomend his tutoring. As a student myself I benefitted highly from Nialls guidance and acheived 2 grades higher then I was predicted. He encourages you to do your best at all times and makes learning about boring subjects fun and interesting.
Niall was an highly motivational and inspirational GCSE Chemistry teacher who gave me and other classmates the drive to want to achieve in chemistry. Lessons were always creative, interesting and intensive when it came to exams. Content became easier to memorise and recall as lessons were readable and easy to comprehend with constant support and encouragement.
He was an engaging and interesting teacher. He wanted us to get the grades as badly as we did! There was always an effort to make our lessons as interesting as possible. He was a great teacher and clearly has a love for teaching.
I'm proud to say Mr Alcock helped me achieve my A in Chemistry. Through my 5 years of gcse I have never come across a teacher with his talent, motivation and enthusiasm. His teaching gave me confidence and inspiration. Most informative lessons are seen as time dragging but I never saw his lessons as that, they were all enjoyable. The next batch of students to have you as a teacher are already confirmed path to success.
It was an honour to have you as a teacher!Mr Niall Alcock. Had taught me through my year 10 Science GCSE and ISA. He really tried hard to help students get their grade. But what he always said to me and my class was, if you, the student do not put in the effort then he was not going to put in the effort. He manged to get a majority of people in his class above a C grade for one of our real GCSE's. I always thought that whenever he made my class learn something it stuck in my head and after the lesson me and my friends would talk about how much we learnt. Overall Mr Alcock is a superb teacher and will be a perfect tutor.
THE BEST Science Teacher/Tutor out there! Very patient, reliable, experienced and focused, he knows his stuff big time... And funny when he has to be LOL. Able to work with students at all levels of the ability spectrum to help them achieve their potential and goal.
Mr Alcock taught me physics in year 11 for GCSE triple science in 2013. He was a teach who could capture the attention of the whole class and keep them alert for the whole session. He helped me boost my grade up to a B in just a year, with an A* in one section of the course.
Niall is an excellent teacher as he is able to engage with the class and students individually, which I think is very important. His determination and desire to teach a class was evident, after only having a year with him, as it was as important to him for us to get the grades to succeed in life as it was to us. That sort of teacher-student relationship is a rarity. Chemistry was always my weakest subject as I felt like I struggled a lot but knowing I walked away with an A* gives me great confidence to approach difficult tasks in life in a positive manner. I can highly recommend Niall to anyone looking to strive for success and also laugh at a few of his awful but witty puns.
As a fellow student, I would recommend Niall as a tutor for outstanding achievements. I got a grade A overall in the subject he taught me due to hard work on both ends. The teaching is very targeted specifically to the exam which it valuable, as time is of the essence.
