About Mohammad
The reason tutoring appeals so strongly to me is, tutoring represents an opportunity to not only be able to help a student learn and become proficient in a subject but also develop a real interest and enjoyment within that subject. As GCSE/alevel tutors potentially have a instrumental role in the students choice of degree and therefore career, you have the real possibility to positively affect someones life.
A personal benefit that is often a real possibility, is a two way experience between student and teacher which allows for the teacher to benefit from the students unique experiences and insight. Tutoring will also provide the benefit of ensuring a revision of old topics and through articulating topics to a student a deeper understanding. This will directly compliment my degree as many more advanced topics use GCSE/A-level as the fundamental building blocks. The necessary formality of tutoring will give me valuable experience in keeping a strictly professional approach to my role however also recognising the need for a friendly and relaxed customer experience.
My skills and experience compliment the role of a tutor particularly well, a vital attribute needed for a enjoyable and productive teaching experience is to be positive, caring and friendly. My experience teaching young children to read is a perfect example in which I had to consistently show all these traits. My excellent grades in GCSE, a-levels and the first year of university show the knowledge needed to teach at GCSE and a-levels but also my diligence and time management. These traits are necessary as preparation for all lessons and feedback through marking is vital in the service I will provide to my student. While working under TFL and boots both being large companies in their own right I had the responsibility of representing their name, therefore I have the experience of conducting myself in the proper manner.
