About Michael

I am Mike Hollyhead. I have been successfully tutoring in Maths, Physics and Engineering for 8 years now, following a 25 year career as a Chartered Electrical Engineer.

I provide tutoring and mentoring support at the following levels and subjects:

- AS Level Maths and Physics
- A Level Maths and Physics
- Undergraduate Maths for Engineers and Scientists
- Maths, physics and engineering tuition
- Career mentoring support for engineering students and apprentice employees.


Students planning on a career in engineering have consistently gained not only from my subject matter tutoring but also that I draw on my own experiences developing my career in engineering, first as an Engineering Undergraduate with the Ministry of Defence then taking my first degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Bath University, UK, subsequently progressing through their Graduate development scheme.

Several of my students have found my engineering background very useful and motivating and, as such, have stayed with me from end of GCSEs and have continued with me even during their University studies.

In 2012, I won a scholarship teach advanced physics to sixth forms from the Institute of Physics.
