About Mark
After a lengthy career as an Environmental Scientist in the water industry, I qualified as a Secondary Teacher of Science in 1999. Since then I have over 15 years experience teaching Science up to GCSE; Biology and Psychology up to A2 Level and Health & Social Care at all levels including BTEC Level 3.
I have a love for my subjects, particularly biological and environmental sciences, and am committed to delivering the curriculum to my students in a way which I feel best fits their needs. I am keen to draw upon a variety of resources in order to stimulate and sustain their interest with an emphasis on applying knowledge and understanding, thereby developing students' transferable skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking. I like to be creative and imaginative in my delivery of lessons and I have produced many resources such as Powerpoints to enhance teaching and learning.
