About Maria
Since graduating last year I have been tutoring Mathematics to students aged 6-18 all of varying abilities.
I have previous experience as a Maths assistant at a school where I helped students with a range of mathematical abilities with their classwork. I also used to run a Maths help club for students studying for their GCSE's and A-levels to help them achieve their target grades.

I graduated in 2016 from The University of Birmingham with a 1st class degree in Mathematics. I am looking to tutor anyone studying Mathematics at A-level, GCSE or below and want to use my experience and knowledge of the subject to help students achieve their target grades. I am a very friendly and easygoing person and I believe these qualities make me a great tutor.
I believe that anyone can be good at Mathematics given the right tuition. It is important to understand how a student best learns, which may not necessarily be the way they are taught in class. Because of this I tailor my teaching style to the individual in order to ensure we make the best progress possible and increase the student's understanding of the subject week on week. I find that as a student's understanding of the subject grows, so does their confidence and this becomes a virtuous cycle. As well as in-depth tuition I will also provide hints and tips on exam preparation which I have learned over many years of studying to ensure students are well equipped to handle their upcoming exams.
