About Maria
I am an Assistant Principal at an outstanding school in north London, where I have worked for four years. My specialism is Early Years and Early Reading in particular though, as a primary teacher, I enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects.
In my own education I studied Russian at the University of Leeds, with maths and later went on to complete my teaching qualification with Teach First at the Institute of Education. I later completed my MA at UCL in Educational Leadership and am partway through the Fellowship Programme, Teacher Educator, with Ambition Institute. I have a real love of learning and enjoy sharing this with colleagues and students alike on a daily basis.
Aside from my the academic I have a real passion for the Arts having worked as a Vocal Coach for a musical theatre company for two summers and being part of an international theatre company whilst living in Moscow.
I think the key to a high quality education is through consistency, high expectations and care.

Maria Craster has been working as a teacher with the MAGIC CASTLE Nursery School September 2015-May 2016.
Over this time she has been responsible for teaching Nursery programme to children 1,5-3 years old as well as English classes to mixed age groups (for children from 6 to 14 years old). Apart from English Curriculum and YLE exam preparation classes Ms Craster taught music, singing and acting for preschool children.
