About Louis
I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA degree in June. At Cambridge, I studied History for 3 years and Management for 1 year.
The modules I undertook for History include: Social, political and economic history of Britain since 1880; Modern European history; History of political thought; History of the Indian subcontinent. The modules I completed for Management include: Operations management; Strategic management; Quantitative methods; Economics; Marketing; Accounting & Finance.
As such, I am well qualified to tutor History and would be able to tutor a range of management-related subjects including Business Studies, Marketing, Finance and Accounting. I am also able to tutor Maths, Economics and English Literature.
Whilst at university I assisted numerous history undergraduates in younger years with their work, by helping them to understand content, organise their notes and improve their essay writing skills. I am patient in my approach and always tailor
sessions to each student's needs and interests. I have also provided feedback to peers (in a range of disciplines) on their coursework and helped prospective university students with their UCAS applications.
Prior to university, I attended Wilson's School, one of the highest performing state schools in the country. During sixth form, I studied Economics, History and English Literature (A Level) and Mathematics and ICT (AS Level). I achieved the highest mark in my year for Economics and was subsequently awarded The Chellingsworth Prize for Economics.
Now that I have finished my studies I am looking to tutor full-time and gain experience quickly.
