About Lindsey
My name is Lindsey Shamchuk and I am passionate about teaching science to others! I have studied for five years at the university level and have received both a master's and bachelor's degree in sciences. I personally am interest in biology and health. I also have experience in other fields of science such as chemistry, organic chemistry, physiology, cellular systems, cancer research, zoology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology. If you are interested in studying psychology I also have studied this course for 4 years and would be happy to help you in this field. Tutoring sessions with me can be catered to your personal needs. Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
In my second year of my BEng degree, I was an average lab report writer receiving grades of between 50 -60% generally.
Ms Shamchuk spent 10-20 hours teaching me techniques for formatting, giving advice on layout improvements and some of the more obscure word and excel functions.
Due in part to her help, I regularly achieve greater than 70% coursework results.I am delighted to have the opportunity to provide a reference for the above student who I have known for a year in the capacity of the dissertation module leader of the MSc Public Health and Health Promotion programme at Swansea University, Wales. Lindsey was an outstanding student both academically and in terms of her inner strength and resilience. She achieved a distinction for her Masters with an average mark of 83.25%. She achieved the top mark (95%) of her cohort for her dissertation which explored healthy behaviours of university students at Swansea University.
Lindsey displays many of the qualities needed to be an effective tutor. She is academically very able but more than that she has excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. She is empathetic, works well as a member of a team and on her own initiative. She remains calm when faced with challenges. She has a very good literary style and displays high levels of critical analysis in her work. She was the International Student Representative at the Board of Studies for the MSC Public Health and Health promotion programme which involved soliciting the views of her student peers and conveying any issues or concerns to the lecturers and programme director which she did effectively.
She displays inner strength and has a strong moral character. She is open and honest and has a clear understanding of ethics especially in terms of health promotion, public health and in the conduct of research. She has a very pleasing personality and is extremely hard working.
In summary I fully support her application to become a tutor I am confident that you will find her to be an asset to your company.
If you require further information then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully
