Passionate and dedicated tutor studying at Durham University
I'm a second-year History & Politics student at Grey College, University of Durham. I love my subjects; I always knew I was going to study them when I began thinking about university. It’s so important to engage with what you learn and that you truly understand it. If you do this, you’ll be right on track to maximise your grades in exams. That’s why I want to help tutees improve and get the most out of their studies! There’s no hiding that exams are stressful. With a more competitive world of work, you should get the best you can. Everyone finds them tough, but that doesn’t mean your course has to be unenjoyable. I worked hard for my exams, so I understand the pain! But it’s not just about doing well in the exams for the sake of good grades – it’s all working towards the next step - university. For me, choosing a university was one the biggest choices I’ve made – you’ve got to balance your course, league tables, distance, facilities, and more. Getting the grades you need for the right university definitely matters! I love Durham, and I know that I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my grades. Whilst at university, I row and cox for my college, as well as singing in my college choir, for which I am the Social Secretary. Also, I regularly attend Durham Union debates, and I am a member of the university ski club (DUSSC).
