I graduated from The Queen's College, University of Oxford in 2016 with a double first class degree in English Language and Literature. The course covered a huge span of literature in English, from 8th century runic inscriptions in Anglo Saxon through to the Romantics and 20th century postcolonial literature. Most of my work in the final year concentrated on literature from about 1500-1700, and I am now completing an MA at Queen Mary, University of London, where I will be researching Shakespeare and Early Modern literature. I hope to follow this with a PhD in my principal area of interest, translation in the Renaissance, with a view to becoming an academic. Thanks to the rigorous and extensive course at Oxford, I’m familiar with a broad range of critical and contextual approaches, and literature from the first words written in Old English right up to the present day. I think I my love for English is contagious!
